In 2008 the company included in the scope of its investment interests also energetics. As a result, were created joint ventures with the participation of Monolit JSC on the one hand and large foreign companies with extensive experience in the field of renewable energy sources on the other. Their main business is the development of investment activity in this direction. The first joint projects are developed for production of electricity from alternative energy sources (wood biomass, wind, sun and water).

Energy yield from alternative sources is connected with the company "Bioenergy Tryavna" whose main shareholder is  Monolit JSC. It's about developing a major project to build a plant for the production of electricity from wood biomass in the area of Tryavna.

Interests of Monolit JSC are directed at developing a project for photovoltaic plant, located in South Bulgaria, where all the conditions for its effective functionings are set.

This type of energy projects are part of Bulgaria's commitments as a member of the European Community for the adoption of the European strategy for the introduction of a self-renewal energy resources.
